QuipoQuiz is a quiz platform that is particularly well known in France, where it has a large YouTube following.

Specializing in content that’s both educational and entertaining, it boasts several hundred quizzes in nearly 30 categories, amounting to thousands of trivia questions related to culture and general knowledge.

A collaborative undertaking

At the start of our collaboration with QuipoQuiz, the platform had an outdated, unappealing aesthetic and was hosted on a less-than-optimal website. If Quipo’s goal was to make people want to learn through play, its platform was missing the mark. We were therefore tasked with making over the brand’s visual identity and redesigning the website.

The website redesign was carried out by 4C4 in collaboration with our team.

Building a modern visual identity

On the old platform, the quizzes had a childish design that undermined their credibility.

To achieve a more mature look, we developed the following elements:

  • Playful, eye-catching shapes instead of clichéd visual references
  • A graphic vocabulary that uses bold and vibrant colours
  •  A flamboyant, easily identifiable typography

An innovative website

Given the old website’s limitations, we decided to toss it out and start from scratch. The revamped version was unprecedented in Quebec’s digital landscape, not only because of the quiz concept, but also because of certain key features:

  • A structure that encourages addictive exploration
  • A content management system that allows for greater agility
  • New category and sub-category tags to improve referencing
  • A more immersive game environment that changes based on users’ answers
  • New game modes that create a personalized experience

A new window on the world

In reinventing the QuipoQuiz universe, we reframed its vast collection of fun and compelling quizzes as a window on the world. Its graphic vocabulary is marked by bold and vibrant colours, striking typography, and eye-catching shapes, and the design is at once playful, appealing, and easy to navigate. We also extensively reworked the logo to make it easily identifiable to newcomers and long-time fans alike.

After enlisting Espresso to update its identity and website, QuipoQuiz’s founders asked if we would be interested in acquiring the brand. The decision was a no-brainer: We saw this as a great opportunity to expand and enhance our content services.

Results

+ 8,3 %increase in Quebec market share compared to 2023
+ 66,5 %increase in browsing time for sessions with engagement
+ 6 %increase in total website views
