Based at Montreal’s École de technologie supérieure, the Center for Intersectoral Studies and Research on the Circular Economy (CERIEC) is dedicated to helping shape and deploy the circular economy to facilitate the transition to a sustainable future.

One of CERIEC’s initiatives involves coordinating living labs in different sectors of the Quebec economy. Their purpose is to co-create and field-test circular economy solutions.

Raising awareness of circular economy experimentation projects in the construction sector

CERIEC hired Espresso to support the knowledge transfer strategy for communicating the results of its construction lab.

Our role

In the first phase of the mandate, we focused on developing a brand strategy to better position the construction lab in the target sector. To do so, we analyzed the interviews CERIEC conducted with stakeholders and carried out intensive research into the different professions in the construction sector so we could define the lab’s target audiences.

In the second phase of the mandate, we were tasked with creating a public dissemination plan to promote the lab, particularly among the audiences defined in phase one.

Finally, to guide the design of the future platform, we developed initial mock-ups based on the ideas laid out in the communication strategy.
