Boomers & Cie is a magazine for active Quebecers from the boomer generation and is distributed in major cities throughout the province. Its mission is to inform its readership of activities, trends, and news stories that may be of interest to them.

In 2019, the magazine approached Espresso with the aim of delegating its editorial management, copywriting, and graphic production responsibilities. We were happy to accept, and took over the production of six printed issues a year. Over time, we redesigned the magazine’s website, and our team is now responsible for managing and updated the site’s editorial and advertising content, as well as creating and sending out a twice-monthly newsletter.

A rigorous editorial approach

Espresso set up a strong and clear structure for the magazine’s production right from the outset:

• Appointed an editor-in-chief and established an editorial coordination team
• Formed a team of journalists
• Updated the magazine’s graphic grid and sales tools
• Implemented a language review and final proofreading step that is done once the layout has been finalized.

We eventually redesigned the website and now manage content uploads on a regular basis.

Espresso is proud to be part of this project dedicated to the well-being and entertainment of Quebec’s boomer generation. The magazine’s director , Fabienne Coullerez, is also president and co-founder of Accès Résidences, a free service that helps seniors find the right retirement residence for their needs.
